It is indeed my honor to serve as your FAHAM President this year. And what an exciting year it will be in our world of patient access. As the Department of Health and Human Services proposed rules around the electronic health records “meaningful use” policies and the health care reform laws are announced we will have to be more diligent than ever to understand its complexities. This is one of the things that makes FAHAM so beneficial to us all:
We can share with one another – we can learn from one another. This year FAHAM will hold two meetings, the first will be held at Orlando Regional on March 15, 2013 and the second FAHAM meeting will be held at Sarasota Memorial in October 2013. We hope everyone will be able to join us for our next meeting as well as our upcoming conference calls and webinars. This year we will continue an incentive for each of you: if you refer a colleague to FAHAM you will receive your choice of a $20 gift card when their membership dues are paid. So, start spreading the word about the benefits of being a member of FAHAM.
